Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Role Overview

Founding AI Engineer responsible for building core AI systems that analyze and improve engineering team productivity. This is a ground-floor role with full ownership of AI systems, working directly with founders to define product direction and technical architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI systems that analyze how engineering teams work, focusing on productivity, collaboration, and output quality
• Develop systems that generate actionable insights for engineering teams without relying on vanity metrics
• Own full AI development lifecycle from system design through production deployment and iteration
• Establish processes and standards to accelerate future AI feature development
• Work directly with founders to translate customer needs into shipped AI features
• Build scalable systems that improve engineering outcomes across large user bases
• Continuously iterate based on real customer feedback and product usage
