Vera Health is an AI-native clinical platform for healthcare professionals — effectively an AI assistant for physicians and clinicians. Founded in 2024 out of MIT and backed by Y Combinator (Series A), Vera has grown from 1,000 to 150,000 clinicians in just six months, built by a five-person team with 60% of growth driven entirely by word-of-mouth and a pure product-led growth motion.
About the Role
This is Vera Health's first true partnerships ownership role. This is not standard channel sales. This is not repeatable SaaS account management. This is bespoke strategic partnership building in a hypergrowth AI healthcare startup — working directly alongside the founders to design and close deals that drive distribution at scale.
Core ownership includes:
- Ownership of 50+ partner pipeline across medical societies, clinical publishers, and digital health platforms
- Executive relationship ownership with executive directors, publishers, COOs, and senior business stakeholders
- Custom deal structuring — distribution partnerships, content integrations, co-branded programs, and strategic commercial design
- End-to-end deal execution from signature through launch
- Product and engineering coordination, adoption tracking, and partner reporting
- Strategic collaboration directly with founders
Requirements
- 2–6 years in sales, partnerships, or business development
- Fast-moving startup experience
- Ability to manage 15+ parallel active conversations
- Strong organizational discipline and creative deal structuring capability
- Executive presence and strong relationship-building ability
- High agency and self-directed execution
- Strategic thinking and fast learning ability
Nice to Have
- Healthcare industry experience — medical society, clinical publisher, or digital health platform relationships
- Consumer AI or healthcare AI experience (strongly preferred)
- Founder background or early startup multi-hat experience
- Inbound partnership pipeline experience
Target Backgrounds
Strong signals include consumer AI operators (Perplexity-type backgrounds), health AI startup partnership leaders, and AI-native commercial operators with existing healthcare relationships and experience designing non-standard creative deals.

- Candidates who are too senior or rely on rigid enterprise sales frameworks
- Traditional scripted partnership operators who can't adapt quickly
- Profiles without relevant industry adjacency to healthcare or AI
