Why Candidates Should Join
- End-to-end ownership, no PMs: Engineering runs without product managers — technical leads work directly with customers and own technical direction within their product area.
- Real traction in a hard market: Customers won $5B+ in government contracts in 2025; $42M raised, Series B.
- Mission with weight: Mission-critical AI workflows for government contractors, built by a talent-dense team from Google, Lockheed Martin, and CACI.

The Role
A full-stack product engineering role where you own features end-to-end across frontend and backend systems, work directly with customers to understand their problems, ship frequently, and set technical direction within your product area.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and ship full-stack product features end-to-end across frontend and backend systems
- Engage directly with customers to understand their problems and incorporate feedback into product improvements
- Set technical direction and patterns within your product area
- Build intuitive interfaces and APIs that help users understand and trust AI-powered workflows
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows
Tech stack: TypeScript (non-negotiable — the two-day live work trial is built entirely in it), Node.js, React, Next.js; Temporal a plus
Requirements
- NY-based, on-site, and a U.S. person who can legally handle ITAR/federal data
- 2–6 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally startup-heavy with founding or early-stage background followed by a Series A/B
- Strong full-stack engineer comfortable across React/Next.js frontends and Node.js backend service APIs, with TypeScript as a hard requirement
- Owns features end-to-end with real autonomy and can take a fuzzy customer problem and scope and ship it without hand-holding
- Product-minded and customer-facing engineer who obsesses over usability and builds interfaces that help users trust AI-powered workflows
- Sound engineering judgment with solid architectural instincts and a strong GitHub contribution history
Green Flags
- Exceptional GitHub activity (3,000-5,000 contributions/year pre-2024)
- Experience building AI-powered or LLM-enabled product features
- Experience with government contracting or public-sector software
- Experience with complex integrations and syncing with external systems
- Founding engineer or early-stage startup background
- Ex-athlete (especially D1 level)
Red Flags
- 3+ years at a single large company (Charles Schwab, BNY Mellon, etc.) without startup experience
- No TypeScript experience when coming through recruiter networks
- Cannot articulate ownership of fuzzy problems or scope projects independently
- Looking primarily for work-life balance or explicit work-hour boundaries
- Only experience at recent-era Stripe, Ramp, or Databricks hires (joined 1-2 years ago)
- Does not care about America and her interests
