Senior Platform IAC Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)

Location: Richardson, TX (Onsite) | Compensation: $160,000 – $184,000

Role Overview

As a Senior Platform IAC Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution. These environments — a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware — provide the enterprise hybrid cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The role includes hands-on engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

You will be well versed in maintaining COTS and FOSS products and use of tools such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code solution for our programs.

Note: This position is based in Richardson, TX and work will be performed at the onsite facility, requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.

What You Will Do

• Leverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions
• Support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts utilizing Ansible playbooks
• Contribute to the integration of platform container development and orchestration such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of build and test pipelines across on-premise, virtualized, and cloud-based computing environments
• Assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices toward solutions

Qualifications You Must Have

• BS or BA degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics) with relevant work experience at a senior level
• Experience with Integration, Cloud, Containerization, Infrastructure or Platform as a Service, Linux Development, Microservices
• Experience with Linux System Administration such as RHEL 6.0 or higher
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
• Current TS/SCI Security Clearance with a CI Poly required Day 1
• U.S. citizenship required

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
• Experience with application deployments to Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, Git
• Experience with implementing scaled Agile frameworks
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go
• Experience with Postgres, SonarQube
• General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
• Background in COTS and FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
• Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
• Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain
