Mechanical Services Leader / Project Manager

Statement of Work — Mechanical Services Leader / Project Manager 

Seasoned mechanical engineer leadership role. Greensboro/Raleigh/Charlotte NC. Hybrid. 15-30 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage MP/FP projects from concept to completion — on time, on budget
• Guide and grow a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation
• Design and analyze complex mechanical systems: HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping
• Perform heating/cooling load calculations, produce high-quality construction documents
• Engage in design coordination meetings with clients, architects, contractors
• Conduct site visits, field measurements, inspections, commissioning support
• Contribute to business development: RFQs and project interviews
• Supervise team performance and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or related
• 15+ years mechanical engineering (consulting firm preferred)
• 7+ years project management
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping, energy recovery
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, building/mechanical/energy codes, medical gas systems a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Bluebeam
• Active PE license required
