Field Network Technician

Full Job Description

Daydreamer Outsourcing, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Network Field Technician to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. We specialize in a wide range of IT services, including CCTV/Alarm systems, networking, POS, low voltage cabling, satellite, VoIP, and software development. As a Network Field Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment

- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV/Alarm systems, POS, and low-voltage cabling

- Collaborate with clients to assess their IT needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements

- Diagnose and resolve complex network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner

- Coordinate with other team members and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, equipment inventory, and site information

- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of network protocols, topology, and security best practices

- Experience working with network hardware and software from leading vendors, such as Cisco, MikroTik, and Ubiquiti

- Familiarity with CCTV/Alarm systems, POS, and low voltage cabling installation and maintenance

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Willingness to travel within the service area for on-site client visits

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MTCNA, or MTCRE

- Experience with VoIP, satellite, or software development
