About the Role:

As our Client Accounting Services Manager, you'll be the trusted advisor and architect of success for our clients. You'll lead a team of talented professionals, providing them with the guidance and support they need to deliver exceptional service. From performing core accounting tasks like reconciliations and financial statement preparation to managing projects and fostering client relationships, you'll wear many hats with enthusiasm and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Service Excellence: Lead client engagements, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Technical Prowess: Perform full-cycle accounting services, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and projections. Prepare schedules for auditors and tax professionals.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop staff, providing training and mentorship. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Software Adoption: Research and implement new accounting software, train staff on its use, and optimize its application for client engagements.
  • Talent Acquisition: Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates for permanent accounting positions.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a must.
  • 6+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within a mid-market CPA firm.
  • Proven experience working with privately held companies is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including Excel, and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Reliable daily access to a vehicle for client and office visits.
