About Daye

Daye is a highly ambitious R&D startup on a mission to raise the standards in the gynae health industry. Our aim is to bridge the gender gap in medical research and product innovation by designing products rooted in scientific rigour and inspired by the female intuition.

We are building a comprehensive gynae health platform that will address all areas of female health, from the first menstruation up to menopause, and beyond.

One of our key hypotheses is that tampons can be used for a lot more than just soaking up menstrual fluid. This is why we designed a pain-relieving tampon to help the 90% of women who suffer cramps; a tampon to detect STIs and HPV; and even one to treat common vaginal infections.

We are currently working on several new digital and physical products and are in the process of expanding to the US market.

Daye is a highly complex venture, as the majority of our processes are vertically integrated. Our team of 40, based in London and Sofia, is changing the face of gynae health for the better, and we need exceptional talent to help achieve our mission.


About the opportunity

Over the next 12 months, our aim is to 5x our current subscriber base, youll be part of a company with big ambitions. As the Marketing Manager you will work to drive both new customer acquisition and brand awareness through the development of product propositions and messages, creative campaign execution and an activation calendar that delivers visibility, market disruption and efficient conversion to sales. This role is perfect for a results-driven, highly motivated, persuasive and personable individual.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, incredibly well-organised who thrives on delivering against targets and working in a data-driven environment. They are incredibly passionate about female health and developing mutually beneficial partnerships.

You will constantly be identifying the right way to get Daye products into the right places, through traditional and digital channels, whilst being creative and staying true to the challenger and educator brand values.

Reporting Line & Location

You will report to the Head of Marketing & Retail but work closely with the rest of the marketing and operations teams. This is the first role based in the US although we expect the local team to grow alongside our sales in this market. There will be the need to travel to represent the brand across the US as required. Ideally you will be located in either New York or California based on the intention to focus investment in these geographies over the coming year but applications will be accepted for remote based applicants.

Requirements

  • >5 years experience in a full-mix marketing role within a mission driven brand

  • Experience of all digital channels - CRO, SEO, CRM, PPC and paid social.

  • Self-starter who is results-driven. Able to present solutions and considered action plans supported by data.

  • An excellent communicator with a confident personality and a drive to make it happen

  • Comfortable in taking ownership of agency and retail relationships

  • A great team player, willing to speak up and help shape decisions

  • Driven to outperform targets and metrics, and to hit your individual goal

  • Well organised, strategic, and focused on quality outcomes

  • Previous experience working on a D2C brand or in a challenger/disruptor is a nice-to-have

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

Responsibilities

LEADING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MARKET ACTIVATION PLANS FOR US

  • Identify the best timing for breakthrough campaigns

  • Develop messaging that will resonate with opinion formers and the core target audience

  • Propose budget split by channel with evidence behind why to invest in this way

  • Identifying the right agency partners for offline marketing channels - PR, influencer, ambassador, events - and managing the briefing and performance of these in line with business plans

  • Monitor US business performance reporting back to Daye Exec Team and Investor board

  • Act as the brand guardian in the US - ensure high standards for all things created for the brand which our customers and consumers will experience

  • Work with global Ecommerce Team to accelerate customer acquisition and sales growth


SUPPORTING IN THE DEFINITION & EXECUTION OF MARKETING PLANS FOR UK

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing & Retail to optimise the UK marketing plans acting as a sounding board and challenging approach/assumptions

  • Review how UK driven initiatives can be adapted and scaled within the US

  • Support the execution of UK based marketing campaigns as required

BEING THE BOOTS ON THE GROUND IN THE US including:

  • Attending events which will raise the profile of Daye within the start up and female healthcare professional communities

  • Meeting with potential retail partners

  • Representing Daye at consumer events, speaking on behalf of the brand when opportunity allows

  • Providing consumer insight on the marketing and retail activation of competitors and guiding the product team as to the most valuable resources for market insight
