About Daye

Daye is a leader in gynaecological health innovation and were expanding into new markets. Incorporated in 2017, were a fast-growing, highly ambitious new venture with over 40 team members. Our team is remote-first, with offices in London, UK and Sofia, Bulgaria. To date, Daye has been trusted by over 75,000 women & AFAB folks, and has successfully raised $5.5 million in seed funding, as well as an $11 million series A round from high profile investors based in Silicon Valley, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

At the heart of Daye is R&D and most of our processes are vertically integrated, including our tampon production. We are building a comprehensive gynaecological health platform that will address all areas of womens health, from first menstruation through to menopause, and beyond. Our goals are to bridge the gender gap in medical research, and product innovation, by designing products rooted in science and inspired by womens intuition.

One of our key hypotheses is that tampons can be used for a lot more than just soaking up menstrual fluid. Therefore, we designed:

  • a Pain-relieving Tampon to help the 90% of women who suffer menstrual cramps;

  • a Diagnostic Tampon to detect STIs, HPV, and fertility-inhibiting pathogens;

We are currently working on several new digital and physical products and are in the process of expanding to the US, where we will aim to commercialise our products through ecommerce, retail, insurers, and OB GYN clinics. We exist to raise the standards in gynae health by creating innovative products and services that fit conveniently into our lives, and we need exceptional talent to help achieve our mission.

About the opportunity

Over the next 12 months, our aim is to be 5x our current subscriber base, which means youll be part of a company on an exceptionally high growth trajectory. We are especially ambitious in our plans for rolling out new products and services.

The Talent & Recruitment Lead is an instrumental part of the teams success by ensuring we find, develop and retain the right talent and that we maintain a culture of flexible working, openness, accountability and excellence as we grow our business. This is a full-time position based in our Sofia office and is reporting directly to our CFO/COO.

What youll be doing

Talent Management

  • Acting as a guardian of our culture and establishing strong relationships with everyone that works at Daye;

  • Embody the Daye company values and encourage others to do so too;

  • Identifying, developing and retaining high-performing talent within the organisation;

  • Identify needs for and implement employee training and development programs;

  • Responsible for creating, enforcing and updating all HR policies, rules and guidance related to employee management.;

  • Collaborate with team managers to identify and address talent management needs and build morale and productivity;

  • Measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives and make recommendations for improvements;

  • Keep track of industry best practices and trends in talent management and remote work;

  • Liaise with payroll team to ensure employment law is applied across the team operations;

  • Conduct annual remuneration and benefit surveys and reviews;

  • Manage the company employee benefits packages;

  • Continuously improve engagement and welfare activities and identify HR trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources;

  • Responsible for the organisation of company wide team retreats and cultural guardian initiatives;

  • Acts as a point of contact where there are any employee relations issues and address grievances.

Recruitment

  • Overseeing all recruitment activities and leading the process of sourcing talent and moving candidates through the hiring stages;

  • Responsible for negotiating employee contracts, offers of employment, employee document management and the onboarding process for new joiners;

  • Leading all candidate communication;

  • Ownership of the company applicant tracking system;

  • On-going improvement of the hiring process.

What you need to bring

  • 3-4 years experience as an HR Generalist with at least 1 year of recruiting experience;

  • Understanding of all HR functions, Bulgarian employment law and HR best practices;

  • Demonstrated experience in setting new HR processes;

  • Effective stakeholder management;

  • Analytical and goal oriented;

  • Ability to prioritise across multiple objectives;

  • Excellent people management and time management skills;

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology or a wider Business Management degree;

  • Passionate about building a culture of excellence in a high-performing team and a remote-first work model;

  • Fluency in English and Bulgarian.
