Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Business Intelligence & Data Insights Analyst to support executive decision-making through advanced reporting, analytics, and data visualization.

This role will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear insights that support revenue performance, commercial strategy, operational improvements, and forecasting. The position will work closely with leadership, the commercial team, and systems integration functions to ensure accurate data flows, actionable reporting, and automated insights across the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reporting Line & Collaboration

  • Initially report directly to the CEO, with a transition to reporting to the Senior Manager of BI, Reporting & Insights once the role is established.

  • Work closely with the Systems Integration Engineer to align system integrations, data flows, and automation initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary data partner for the rate-setting and commercial team, providing insights, historical analysis, demand indicators, and forecasting inputs.

2. Core Reporting & Insight Delivery

  • Produce accurate and timely daily revenue reporting and executive performance dashboards.

  • Deliver weekly insight reports to the CEO and leadership team with actionable analytics.

  • Maintain and continuously improve a centralized Power BI reporting environment supporting business-wide decision making.

3. Power BI & Power Platform Ownership

  • Lead the automation of existing manual reports into streamlined Power BI dashboards.

  • Develop scalable data models and transformation pipelines using Power Query and Power BI Dataflows.

  • Utilize Power Automate to create workflows for data refresh, notifications, approvals, and integration processes.

  • Work with the Systems Integration Engineer to integrate new data sources and automate data ingestion.

4. Commercial & Rate Setting Insights

  • Provide analytical insights to the rate-setting team including:

    • Demand patterns

    • Booking pace

    • Channel performance

    • Competitor benchmarking (where applicable)

    • Fleet utilization impact

    • Revenue performance against forecasts

  • Manage the preparation, cleansing, compilation, and modelling of data to support pricing and commercial decisions.

  • Develop forecasting tools or Power BI visualizations to support rate optimization strategies.

  • Deliver actionable recommendations to improve revenue yield, seasonality management, and rate positioning.

5. Operational, Fleet & Partner Reporting

  • Develop dashboards covering fleet utilization, downtime, repairs, readiness, and branch performance.

  • Provide performance insights for broker partners, corporate accounts, and sales channels.

  • Deliver insights on occupancy trends, demand shifts, and operational performance improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Advanced expertise in business intelligence, data modelling, analytics, and reporting.

  • Strong experience building and maintaining data visualizations using Excel and BI tools (Tableau required).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (expert level).

  • Programming and data querying experience including SQL and BigQuery.

  • Strong analytical ability with the capability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to explain complex data insights in clear and simple terms for non-technical stakeholders.
