About the job Senior Accountant (AU Account)
Role Overview
This role will support day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Australian taxation requirements across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Assisting with day-to-day accounting transactions

Supporting end-of-month and end-of-financial-year requirements

Providing accurate quantitative financial information

Reconciling accounts payable, receivable, and bank accounts in a timely manner

Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
-
Supporting administrative tasks such as mail collection and reporting
-
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, Australian accounting standards, and taxation regulations

Assisting with the preparation and review of BAS, GST, and PAYG-related information
-
Supporting record-keeping and documentation in line with ATO requirements

Performing other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Proficiency in Xero
-
2–3 years of post-graduate experience in a similar finance role

Experience with general ledger functions
-
Working knowledge of Australian taxation, including GST, BAS, and PAYG
-
Strong analytical, data entry, and time management skills
-
Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
