About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HRIS and Payroll Specialist to support our Australian client. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee data within the HRIS platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Employment Hero and a strong understanding of Australian payroll standards and compliance.
This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, offering flexibility while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for Australian employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Employment Hero)
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes within the system
- Ensure correct calculation of wages, taxes, superannuation, and other deductions
- Handle timesheets, leave balances, and payroll adjustments
- Generate payroll reports and assist with audits and reconciliations
- Address employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work regulations and Australian employment standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders for payroll and HR-related matters
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably for Australian clients
- Hands-on experience using Employment Hero (required)
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience in HRIS management and employee lifecycle processes
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting Australian clients, preferably within a BPO or offshore support environment
- Familiarity with awards, EBAs, and Australian compliance requirements
