We are looking for a capable Web Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience across both modern JavaScript development and PHP, with the ability to take ownership of their work across our current and legacy systems. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new features and functionalities across our web applications
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance our existing PHP-based legacy systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver efficient, scalable solutions
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code across our JavaScript and PHP stacks
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Stay updated with current trends and technologies in full stack development
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards
- Contribute to project planning and estimation discussions
- Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on progress
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and see them through to completion
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with working proficiency across both modern JavaScript and PHP ecosystems
- Solid PHP experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter (required for legacy system maintenance)
- Working proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience in Node.js, Express.js, Next.js, and React
- Experience with TypeScript is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Azure SQL, including writing efficient queries and understanding schema design
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices
- Solid experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, or Azure Repos)
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability over assigned work
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for source control, pipelines, and CI/CD
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, Container Registry, and containerised deployments (Docker)
- Some experience with CI/CD pipelines
