Our Business

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of relevant bookkeeping software and principles.

  • Complete delegated work from Directors and Managers within required deadlines.

  • Submit timesheets on time.

  • Meet billable hours/WIP targets each month, with a minimum of 32 working hours per week.

  • Maintain time spent on ad-hoc client support within the weekly limit of 7.5 hours.

  • Ensure time spent on bookkeeping engagements adheres to budgeted hours.

  • Collaborate with the bookkeeping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.

  • Attend regular education sessions such as IBB and similar programs.

  • Prepare and present updates on bookkeeping methods and technology to staff and clients.

  • Provide input into the marketing initiatives for the Bookkeeping Solutions division.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve or streamline internal processes and practices.

  • Strictly follow firm confidentiality policies and procedures.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping software including Xero, MYOB, QBO, Dext, and relevant add-ons.

  • Detailed understanding of business tax obligations: GST, PAYG withholding, Payroll Tax, Superannuation Guarantee, and WorkCover.

  • Experience with payroll processing and employee entitlements.

  • Working knowledge of bookkeeping processes and business reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular processing of client bookkeeping and maintenance of accurate accounting balances.

  • Review bookkeeping work prepared by team members for allocated clients.

  • Ensure accurate and high-quality delivery of bookkeeping outputs.

  • Maintain accuracy and quality of accounting balances for assigned clients.

  • Manage client communication and relationships, including:

    • Sending completed deliverables and reports.

    • Following up incomplete client responsibilities.

    • Responding to client questions related to bookkeeping work.

  • Support the accounting team with ad-hoc requests related to:

    • Accounting software setup and implementation.

    • Resolution of bookkeeping and payroll issues.

    • Software integrations and recommendations.

    • Escalations for requests outside the agreed scope.

  • Adhere to policies and procedures established by the Bookkeeping Management Team.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.
