About the Role
Were looking for a data-driven, highly strategic, and results-obsessed Digital Marketing Performance Specialist to join our growing team supporting an Australian-based digital marketing client.
Youll lead performance marketing across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms optimising campaigns for maximum ROI and driving measurable growth for clients.
This isnt a client-facing role its about performance. Youll be hands-on, fast-thinking, and proactive in turning campaigns around, scaling winning ads, and improving ROAS across all accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max) and Meta Ads.
- Analyse performance data daily to improve ROAS, CPA, CTR, and conversion rates.
- Identify underperforming campaigns and turn them around through strategic adjustments and creative testing.
- Build, test, and scale winning audiences, creative, and copy variations.
- Prepare data-led insights and reports to show ROI, profitability, and growth patterns.
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and other team members to ensure performance alignment.
- Stay across platform updates, algorithm changes, and new ad tech opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing (agency experience highly regarded).
- Proven track record of achieving high ROAS and strong ROI across multiple verticals.
- Deep understanding of Google Ads Manager, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Proficiency with conversion tracking, pixel setups, Google Tag Manager, and data attribution.
- Strong analytical mindset able to interpret data and make fast, strategic decisions.
- Experience with shopping feeds, retargeting, and dynamic ad campaigns.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet performance benchmarks under pressure.
Bonus Points
- Experience with landing page optimisation and CRO tools (e.g., Hotjar, VWO).
- Exposure to AI-powered ad tools or automation workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (for internal collaboration).
