The ideal candidate for this Staff Accountant position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. How you will make an impact

- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also, ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

- Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

- Take part in various department-wide initiatives

- Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process

- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

- In-depth experience with month-end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Conduct month-end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

Requirements

- 3+ years of manufacturing accounting experience

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Notable analytical, quantitative, and social skills

- Month-end closings experience required

- Strong experience with Percent of Completion

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, prioritize deals, and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

- ERP system experience

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
