A leading Bank in Sandton is seeking a HR Programme Consultant for a 12-month contract.

The focus of this role is on HR digital adoption, transformation, and change enablement — ensuring successful implementation of HR systems and driving organisational alignment through structured project delivery and change management.

Key Responsibilities

HR Programme Support

  • Translate Group HR strategic requirements into structured implementation plans for HR teams.
  • Analyse business requirements and provide advisory guidance on direction, sequencing, and implementation approach.
  • Engage senior HR stakeholders and ensure clarity of deliverables and expectations.

HR Digital Adoption & Transformation

  • Support HR digital adoption initiatives, ensuring effective rollout and embedding of HR systems and processes.
  • Drive transformation initiatives aligned to organisational strategy.
  • Facilitate adoption of new tools, processes, and operating models across HR functions.

Change Management & Organisational Development

  • Lead structured change management interventions to support system and process implementation.
  • Conduct organisational analysis and recommend improvements aligned to transformation goals.
  • Provide advisory support on organisational effectiveness and talent-related initiatives (with a stronger focus on change and project delivery).

Project & Programme Delivery

  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Monitor progress and ensure quality delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Identify risks, escalate appropriately, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare executive-ready reports, insights, and recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Heads of HR and HR Specialists to drive alignment and execution.
  • Build credibility through data-driven insights and structured thinking.
  • Ask the right critical questions to ensure business requirements are fully understood and translated effectively.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (NQF Level 7).
  • Project Management or Change Management certification (advantageous).

Experience

  • 5–8 years relevant HR experience.
  • At least 3 years in a consulting, advisory, transformation, or project-based HR role.
  • Experience working at Group, enterprise, or multi-business-unit level.
  • Proven involvement in HR systems implementation or digital adoption initiatives.
  • Exposure to organisational transformation within banking or financial services (advantageous).
