Blockchain Development Specialist (Ethereum) 12-Month Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Development Specialist (Ethereum) to join a leading banking client on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative, enterprise-grade blockchain solutions within a highly regulated financial services environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing blockchain-based solutions on the Ethereum platform. You will work closely with solution architects, enterprise engineers, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and high-performance decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts aligned to banking and financial services use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity on the Ethereum network
• Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain integrations
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to blockchain design standards
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance of blockchain solutions
• Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems and APIs
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging of smart contracts and applications
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and cloud teams for secure deployment
• Stay up to date with emerging blockchain trends, tools, and protocols

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Ethereum blockchain development
• Proficiency in Solidity and smart contract development
• Experience with blockchain frameworks such as Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry
• Strong understanding of cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and distributed systems
• Experience integrating blockchain solutions with APIs and enterprise systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure preferred)
• Strong software engineering background (JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar)
• Experience in financial services or banking environments advantageous

Nice to Have

• Experience with Layer 2 solutions (Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum)
• Knowledge of DeFi, tokenization, or digital assets
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
