Business Data Manager (12-Month Contract)

Our client, a top-tier financial services institution, is seeking an experienced Business Data Manager to join their Group Finance division on a 12-month contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a hybrid model (office and remote) and play a critical part in managing client data that spans multiple clusters across the organisation.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for driving data governance, ensuring accuracy and security of financial client data, and informing key decisions made by the data governance council. Your expertise will help create a complete and trusted view of data that empowers the organisations growth and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce robust data management policies to ensure quality, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
• Implement secure, efficient data procedures and support daily usage of data systems across divisions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, ensuring security and integrity.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with banking divisions to develop strategies that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
• Assess risks related to data management and implement mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Data management certification (e.g., DAMA) advantageous.
• 3+ years' experience in Data Management.
• 1-3 years' experience in Banking or Financial Services, with strong financial knowledge.
