Build the Backbone of African Fiscal Systems
We are on the hunt for a Senior backend-savvy developer who thrives in the command line and crafts high-performance services that don't blink under load. This isn't just another API gig it's about building rock-solid logic, powering automated systems, and keeping the heartbeat of African fiscal platforms running smoothly on Linux.
What You'll Actually Do:
- Own the backend: Design & develop services in Node.js (Express/NestJS) using TypeScript
- Go full penguin: Navigate, script, and manage processes in Linux environments
- Automate all the things: Build schedulers, background workers, and async workflows
- Ship clean code: Write testable, maintainable, and well-documented backend modules
- Collaborate & contribute: Join sprints, do code reviews, and drop knowledge in team sessions
- Deploy with confidence: Help build & maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless releases
Tech Stack Must-Haves:
- Node.js: You've built real backend systems (not just endpoints)
- TypeScript: Fluent in backend-focused design patterns
- Linux: You speak shell, read logs, and tame rogue processes
- Async Programming: You understand the Event Loop and love async/await
- DB Skills: SQL or NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins you're at least familiar
- Testing: You write tests using Jest, Mocha, or friends
- Git: Branch like a pro, merge with grace
Bonus Points If You Know:
- Docker or containerized deployments
- Event-driven architectures or message queues
- Cloud basics (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- How to schedule jobs with cron or Linux schedulers
You'll Shine If You Have:
- A relevant IT degree or diploma
- 8-10 years of backend experience with TypeScript + Node.js
- A love for Linux and the smell of fresh logs in the morning
Sounds like you?
