We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong systems integration experience in the financial services sector to join a dynamic global markets project. This initiative is focused on implementing real-time pre-trade compliance checks to ensure regulatory adherence across multiple jurisdictions.

The system is data-heavy and populated with complex regulatory information from various countries. Your role will be to integrate South African market regulations, working closely with multiple stakeholders to define, analyse, and deliver robust data solutions.

This is not a heads-down data role success requires someone professional, dynamic, and highly communicative, able to engage with business and technical teams alike, and comfortable translating regulatory, process, and data requirements into practical solutions. You will thrive in a high-functioning, intellectually curious team that enjoys tackling complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed business and systems analysis at a transaction flow level with SMEs.
  • Define source-to-target data field relationships and complete data mapping for specific use cases.
  • Establish and document data standards, transformation rules, and integration requirements.
  • Collect and analyse data to support requirement validation and test case development.
  • Provide input into the banks data architecture to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Take ownership of test planning and execution, collaborating with SMEs for system integration testing and UAT.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years' experience in a similar role with a strong focus on data analysis and systems integration.
  • Proven ability to define processes and articulate requirements clearly.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and validation.
  • Demonstrable experience in data mapping and system integration projects.
  • Hands-on experience working with vendor-provided APIs, including using Postman for API testing in a CI/CD environment.
  • Solid background in financial services, with global or investment banking experience highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to bridge technical and business requirements.
  • Familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect toolset would be an advantage.
