We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect with strong Microsoft .NET and modern front-end architecture expertise to lead the end-to-end solution design and governance for a strategic Agronomic Workbench platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, cloud-enabled enterprise solutions across backend services, APIs, integrations, data platforms, and modern web applications using Angular and/or React.

This role requires deep technical architecture capability combined with enterprise governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight experience within complex enterprise environments.

What Will You Do?

Key Responsibility:

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

• Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture for the Agronomic Workbench solution across:
• .NET application architecture
• Angular and/or React front-end architecture
• API and integration architecture
• Data and analytics architecture
• Security architecture
• Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable enterprise solutions using Microsoft technology stacks and modern web frameworks.
• Develop architecture standards, reusable patterns, and technical roadmaps.

Backend & API Architecture

• Lead architecture and design of enterprise applications using:
• .NET Core / .NET 8+
• C#
• RESTful APIs
• Microservices architecture
• Event-driven integration patterns
• Define best practices for:
• API security
• Service orchestration
• Performance optimisation
• Authentication and authorisation
• Logging and monitoring

Front-End Architecture

• Provide architectural leadership for modern web applications using Angular and/or React.
• Define standards for:
• Component architecture
• State management
• UI scalability
• Responsive design
• Front-end security
• Performance optimisation
• Ensure alignment between front-end and backend service architecture.

Enterprise Integration & Data Platforms

• Define integration patterns across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data platform capabilities and governance standards.
• Support integration with analytics, reporting, GIS, IoT, and operational platforms where applicable.

Non-Functional Requirements & Governance

• Define and govern non-functional requirements including:
• Scalability
• Availability
• Reliability
• Security
• Maintainability
• Disaster recovery
• Performance
• Ensure architecture compliance with enterprise standards and cybersecurity requirements.

Delivery Oversight & Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural oversight throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Support Agile delivery teams with technical leadership and solution guidance.
• Review and approve solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation approaches.
• Manage architectural risks, technical debt, and cross-platform dependencies.

Cloud & DevOps Enablement

• Support cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solution architectures using Azure and/or AWS.
• Guide DevOps practices including:
• CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code
• Automated testing
• Deployment governance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and operational maturity.

Who Do You Need to Be?

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications advantageous:
• TOGAF
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
• AWS Solutions Architect
• Kubernetes / Cloud certifications

• 8–12+ years' experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• Extensive experience with:
• C#
• .NET Core / .NET 8+
• Angular and/or React
• Enterprise API design

• Cloud-native application architecture
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Strong experience with:
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Integration middleware
• Event-driven architectures
• Microservices
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
• Experience in agriculture, agritech, manufacturing, logistics, or enterprise data environments advantageous.
