Tax Manager - Exeter

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a comprehensive range of tax services in line with current legislation, within agreed budgets and timescales
  • Build strong client relationships and provide practical tax planning and advisory support

  • Support and contribute to a wide variety of tax advisory projects

  • Review tax returns and prepare more complex submissions

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential tax risks

  • Work alongside the existing Tax Manager to develop, support, and mentor the team

  • Take responsibility for tax compliance and provision processes within the Exeter office

  • Assist in managing departmental financial performance

About You

Were looking for someone who ideally brings:

  • Experience as a Tax Manager, Assistant Tax Manager, or high-performing Tax Senior

  • ATT and/or CTA qualification

  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of tax areas

  • Excellent knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements

  • Effective communication skills written and verbal with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confidence with general IT systems

  • A proactive, adaptable, and organised approach with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Professionalism, discretion, and a team-oriented mindset

  • Friendly, approachable, and confident personality
