JOB BRIEF

The Donations Growth and Development Manager will serve as our clients representative and will be tasked with growing donations, finding new sites and sources of donations, and working closely with our various charity partners to ensure positive donation growth throughout our company footprint year after year. This individual will execute growth strategies, prioritize initiatives, secure contracts and approval for donation sites, including the takeover of sites run by our competitors, and work closely with various Area Donations & Logistics Managers to ensure the timely placement and service of new sites and relationships. They will play a leadership role planning and orchestrating initiatives between our clients and our various charity partners. Additionally, they are required to ethically uphold the reputation and values of our charity partners as they work in the communities where they serve. The position will leverage the partnership to enhance collection strategies with a clear focus on locating, negotiating, and closing relationships with property-owner to secure new and pre-established donation sites and sources from the competition.

JOB DUTIES

Achieve quarterly goals and objectives as outlined by Leader of Donations Growth and Development Document, report, and communicate all donation growth activities

Obtain pre-established Community Donation Center sites from our competitors

Obtain new and pre-established donation sites and sources

Build brand/donor awareness through the sourcing, planning, and execution of donation drives.  Work closely with marketing team on branding of new or acquired sites

Develop and leverage relationships with charity partners

Coordinate support efforts between charity partners, property owners/lease holders, and internal growth team

Assist in the implementation and development of new brand standards to support various charity partners and Clients' brand

Pursue growth opportunities that increase the ROI on current assets and resources

Expand our footprint and market share in current and new markets

Assist in the training of future Donation Growth Specialists

Work closely with the Area Donation and Logistics Managers (ADLM) to ensure assets are being deployed timely to new donation sites

Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.

Ability to adhere to all company driving policies, including annual check

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Ensures safety standards are observed at all times.

Communicate clearly and efficiently to external customers, internal customers, charity partners, and management using both verbal and electronic written communication methods.

Think critically to assess and prioritize opportunities and available resources.

Be available to address questions and concerns from internal and external customers.  Travel between 50%-75% to pursue growth opportunities and work with Area Donations and Logistics Managers in each market.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma/GED Required

Associates degree or higher in a business management or marketing field preferred 3 to 5 years of Management Experience

3 to 5 years of Sales and Marketing Experience

Valid Class D Drivers License and Clean MVR

Strong prospecting Skills; Sales Planning

Able to easily and effectively interact with senior board-level type property owners, business and community leaders

Market Knowledge

Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met

Capable of building and sustaining relationships with a variety of individuals and businesses. Good research, planning, analytical, and organizational skills and strong follow-through.  Must have an analytical mind and be able to handle multiple tasks

Must be self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and honesty

Physical Demands:

Occasionally - Carrying up to 10 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs., lifting up to 10 lbs., climbing up to 14-foot height, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling, and smelling.

Frequently- walking on tile/concrete, bending, feeling, and reaching waist/overhead level. Continuously - Sitting, standing on tile/concrete, fingering, talking, seeing, and hearing.

Safety Risk Factors:

Occasionally - loud noise, cluttered floor surface, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays, and hazardous cleaning solutions.

Frequently-Twisting of back and neck.

Other:

Mostly regular hours, occasionally working evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed. The working environment involves inside office with controlled temperatures and outside conditions with varying weather and temperatures.
