Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be crucial in maintaining and upgrading our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install and Upgrade Server Components and Software:

- Deploy and configure server hardware and software components.

- Conduct regular upgrades and patch management to ensure system security and performance.

2. Install and Upgrade Networks:

- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.

- Perform network upgrades and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

3. Manage Virtual Servers:

- Provision and manage virtual server environments.

- Monitor and optimize virtual server performance.

4. Manage Automation Platform:

- Oversee the automation platform that integrates with our core processing system.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for efficient system operations.

5. Troubleshoot Hardware and Software Errors:

- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

- Document problems, resolutions, and impact assessments.

6. Provide Documentation and Technical Specifications:

- Create technical documentation and specifications for IT projects.

- Assist IT staff in planning and implementing new IT infrastructure projects.

7. Data Protection and Disaster Recovery:

- Implement backup operations and disaster recovery procedures.

- Ensure data protection, failover processes, and storage planning.

8. Capacity Planning and Database Performance:

- Monitor system capacity and performance metrics.

- Optimize database performance and conduct maintenance tasks.

9. Collaborate with Core Operations Team:

- Coordinate upgrades to the core processing system.

- Work closely with the Core Operations team on database maintenance.

10. Escalation Point for Support:

- Act as an escalation point for IT support efforts.

- Resolve desktop applications and equipment issues promptly.

11. Security and Endpoint Protection:

- Implement access controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection measures.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

12. Training and Knowledge Sharing

- Develop expertise in new technologies and train staff as needed.

- Share knowledge and best practices with team members.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of server hardware, software, and networking technologies.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.

- Familiarity with security protocols and endpoint protection solutions.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
