JOB SUMMARY
- The Procurement Specialist at Dermorepubliq is responsible for executing strategic sourcing and purchasing activities to support the company’s skincare manufacturing operations. This role focuses on supplier sourcing, negotiation, purchase categorization, importation coordination, and accurate purchase order (PO) creation. The position ensures cost-effective procurement, timely material availability, and proper execution of procurement processes while collaborating closely with the Purchasing team for operational support and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Sourcing & Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and source suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and operational requirements.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
Negotiation & Cost Optimization:
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
- Analyze supplier quotations and recommend optimal sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, and lead time.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement spend.
Purchase Categorization & Strategy:
- Categorize purchases (e.g., direct vs indirect, local vs import) to support procurement planning and reporting.
- Apply category-based sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Maintain accurate classification of procurement data for analysis and decision-making.
Importation & Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate importation processes, including supplier coordination, shipment scheduling, and documentation.
- Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant importation.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve import-related issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable import regulations and documentation requirements.
Purchase Order (PO) Creation & Execution:
- Create and issue accurate purchase orders based on approved sourcing decisions.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of PO details, including specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Track PO status and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment.
Collaboration & Process Alignment:
- Work closely with the Purchasing Supervisor and Operational Purchasing Specialist to ensure seamless procurement operations.
- Provide sourcing and negotiation support for vendor accreditation handled by the operational purchasing team.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready procurement documentation.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent relevant experience in procurement or sourcing may be considered.
Experience
- At least 2–4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing and negotiation.
- Experience in importation processes is preferred but not required.
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or skincare industry is an advantage.
SKILL AND COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, and procurement processes.
- Understanding of purchase categorization and spend analysis.
- Familiarity with importation workflows and documentation (preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems and purchase order management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
