JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic & Operational Procurement Specialist ensures Dermorepubliqs supply chain is both efficient and future-ready by combining day-to-day purchasing excellence with long-term procurement strategies. This role balances the operational responsibility of timely sourcing and supplier management with the strategic mandate of cost optimization, risk mitigation, and sustainability. As a skincare manufacturer, this role is critical in securing raw materials, active ingredients, and packaging components that meet Dermorepubliqs quality, innovation, and regulatory standards while supporting business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Procurement:
- Develop and implement category strategies for raw materials, packaging, and production services aligned with business goals.
- Analyze global market trends, pricing forecasts, and innovation in cosmetic ingredients and packaging to inform sourcing decisions.
- Build and nurture long-term supplier partnerships to secure competitive advantages in cost, quality, and innovation.
- Lead supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies (e.g., dual sourcing, contingency planning).
- Drive sustainability initiatives in procurement (eco-friendly packaging, ethical sourcing of ingredients).
- Support cost optimization initiatives and contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning.
Operational Procurement:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle: purchase requisition, supplier negotiation, purchase order execution, and delivery follow-ups.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Marketing, Production, and Finance to ensure timely supply of raw materials and packaging for both existing and new product launches.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier certifications.
- Track supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to prevent stockouts, delays, or overstock situations.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 to 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or personal care manufacturing.
- Experience in raw materials and packaging sourcing is highly preferred.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of cosmetic-grade raw materials and packaging standards.
- Understanding of GMP, ISO, FDA, and BOC regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
