Job Description:
Lead Stress Engineer (RQ 6)
Qualification: ME / M.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace from a reputed institute
Experience:
- 10-17 years of experience in the aerospace domain, handling design/analysis projects in the areas of fuselage structures.
- Very good knowledge of finite element methods, design calculations (conventional strength of material approach), and hands-on experience in NASTRAN / PATRAN.
- A comprehensive knowledge of airframe structural principles and theory.
- Excellent knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance principles and theory is required.
- Annual salary appropriate to the role and experience of the candidate
Skills:
- Experience in FEA & Stress tools - NASTRAN, PATRAN, HYPERMESH
- Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis
- Familiarity with aerospace design requirements
- MS Office Skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills.
- Good Verbal and written English skills and customer interaction skills are essential.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Carry out Finite element analysis for stress, dynamics, and thermal requirements, engineering calculations for the airframe, and jigs & fixtures
- Evaluating material options
- Knowledge and experience of the certification process
- Mass estimation
- Guiding the team for design calculations, best finite element practices
- Knowledge of structural testing (component through to major assemblies)
- To manage the team of stress engineers on deliverables, timeline, and performance review
- Provide support to project management
- Interaction with manufacturing agencies/experts to evaluate options
- Creation of technical / design reports/documents
- Interaction with customers to understand their requirements and deliver on time and with quality
- Willingness to travel
