Senior Oracle DB Administrator

The Role: The Database Administrator will be responsible for the database management. This will include managing the lifecycle of the Oracle Servers, their support, maintenance, and resiliency. Ensures availability and integrity including backup and archiving, database recovery, disaster recovery and system response time performance tuning of Oracle (optimization).

The Candidate: Minimum 3 or 4 years experience with Oracle. Understanding of server-client computing and database administration (tuning, management, security, reporting). Theoretical and practical knowledge of ITIL best practices and ITIL certification are beneficial. Should be able to use automation scripts for patching and upgrades (Bash, Perl, etc.). Last but not least one must have knowledge of RAC, Active Data Guard, and Linux Operating system.
