Our partner is an established Bulgarian manufacturer of high-tech solutions with vast experience and international presence. To strengthen their engineering division in Sofia, we are looking for a professional Product Engineer. The company operates a pure industrialization model, transforming specifications from the R&D division in Austria into optimized local production. Depending on your core expertise, you can step into one of two strategic streams: Automatic Assembly or Final Assembly.

Product Engineer

Responsibilities of the role:

• Define optimal manufacturing processes and resources;
• Create production routes, part lists, and standard manufacturing times within the ERP system;
• Plan production workflows for prototypes and initial series;
• Manage technical documentation;
• Provide operational training to production personnel;
• For Automatic Assembly - focus on electronics, microelectronics, SMT, and PCB density specifications;
• For Final Assembly - focus on mechatronics and automation, overseeing manual tooling setups, robotic placement, laser engraving, and ultrasonic welding.

Desired skills and experience:

• Technical Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering field;
• At least 3 years of proven experience in manufacturing (Process Engineers, Quality Engineers and technical Project Managers are highly welcome);
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints;
• Prior experience working with ERP systems, routing maps, and BOM management;
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (minimum B2 level) for daily international communication; knowledge of German is a plus.
