System Control Engineer

 Job Description:

Our client takes care of the construction and verification of prototypes of accurate and complex mechatronic systems for OEMs. In addition, our client supports the introduction within the other companies, e.g. for pilot and production operations. Projects are carried out by multidisciplinary teams that work closely with customers and suppliers.

Your position

The System Engineering group is part of the engineering department and includes the following fields of engineering: Electronics, Software and Mechatronics. A System Control engineer works in multidisciplinary teams. He/she contributes to the development of new products and product-specific test systems and is responsible for drawing up a test plan for prototypes and series based on functional specifications. For the prototypes, the System Control Engineer executes the test plan, processes the results and makes recommendations for design improvements. In addition, the diagnosis of issues with and maintenance of test systems is also part of the duties.

The System Engineering group uses tools like E-plan, Labview and Matlab for design, analysis and verification. Simulations of design dynamics and analysis thereof are performed in Simulink. Preferably, you have knowledge of at least 2 of the 3 tools, however, further on-the-job specialization is possible.

Your profile

  • Technical education and training at university level (university of applied science or research university), preferably mechatronics, electronics or computer science;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in high-tech mechanical engineering and mechatronics;
  • Experience with product development and preparation and execution of test plans;
  • Extensive experience in Labview, EPlan, Matlab / Simulink or similar;
  •  Experience in making a technical designs;
  • Knowledge of motion, dynamics or CE is an advantage;
  • Good English language skills;
  • High degree of flexibility.
