Construction Area Manager - QBCC Licence Required

Are you an experienced residential project home supervisor looking to step into management?

Working with a well-established investment builder, this role will see you responsible for two areas across the Northern Gold Coast and western growth estates, overseeing two junior supervisors and maintaining control of programme, quality, and delivery.

There is an expectation you'll be on site three days per week and in the office two days, with head office based on the Gold Coast. Youll need to be comfortable being hands-on when required to fill gaps or support the team.

At present, there are around 40 single-level investment homes under construction across these areas, with additional projects already in the pipeline. All builds are investment homes, keeping scope consistent and systems repeatable.

The role
You'll manage multiple residential builds, coordinate trades and materials, and provide guidance to junior supervisors. The junior supervisors attend each site daily and report back on progress and issues, with the Area Manager inspecting sites alongside them two days per week.

You'll also be responsible for job programming, WH&S compliance, and keeping builds on track against forecast timeframes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple residential investment home builds across South Brisbane and the Northern Gold Coast

• Coordinate trades, materials, and labour across all sites

• Train, mentor, and support junior supervisors

• Conduct regular site inspections and provide clear direction

• Program and update jobs using call-forward software (weekly minimum)

• Ensure WH&S compliance across all sites

• Meet build timeframes, quality standards, and delivery targets

• Maintain strong relationships with local trades

What were looking for

• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence

• Carpentry or related trade background

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a residential Site Supervisor or similar role

• Strong communication and organisation skills

• Comfortable using construction software and computer systems

• Professional presentation and reliable work ethic

• Full Australian driver's licence

• Established trade base across South Brisbane and the Gold Coast
