Join a busy, growth-focused furniture manufacturer on the Gold Coast, producing high-end custom pieces for commercial, residential, hospitality and aged-care projects.

The role

This full-time position suits an experienced furniture maker, cabinet maker or carpenter who enjoys hands-on work with a variety of materials and takes pride in high-quality, custom-built furniture. The role is based in a modern Ashmore workshop, with a mix of factory and occasional on-site work across the wider Gold Coast.

Key responsibilities

  • Build custom furniture and joinery from detailed plans and drawings using solid timber, laminate, MDF, plywood, metals, tiles and decorative trims.
  • Operate a wide range of hand tools and light machinery, including drop saws, sanders and panel saws, safely and efficiently.
  • Support daily production, quality control and scheduling, including mentoring apprentices and trade assistants where required.

Skills and experience

  • Trade qualification in cabinet making, carpentry or similar, or strong proven experience in custom furniture manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and cutting lists.
  • Proven solid timber experience, including timber finishing and assembly of high-end furniture.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a small team, with strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Current open driver's licence and own hand tools; forklift licence highly regarded.
  • Full Australian work rights are essential.
