Our client is a private equity backed payments and data security SaaS provider focused on protecting sensitive payment and personal data across complex, multi system environments. The company delivers encryption and tokenization solutions that secure data at rest, in transit, and within applications, supporting strict regulatory and compliance requirements.

This is a senior individual contributor role designed for a proven hunter with deep experience in SaaS, fintech, and payments. The Director of Business Development owns the full sales lifecycle and operates with a high degree of independence, with success driven primarily through outbound prospecting, industry relationships, and events. The role reports to the VP, Enterprise Solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full sales lifecycle from self sourced prospecting through close, including discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Build and execute a personal business plan aligned to assigned revenue targets and activity expectations.
  • Generate pipeline primarily through outbound prospecting, industry relationships, trade shows, events, and select partner initiatives.
  • Leverage existing professional relationships alongside marketing generated opportunities to develop and advance deals.
  • Develop deep expertise across the full product portfolio to support credible, consultative conversations with senior buyers in payments and fintech.
  • Lead complex deal negotiations, including MSAs and commercial terms, and apply sound judgment on when to engage Legal and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting through consistent Salesforce hygiene and reporting.
  • Deliver sales presentations focused on regulatory requirements, security risk exposure, industry trends, and differentiated security solutions, including PCI P2PE validated offerings and tokenization approaches.
  • Build strong client relationships through value based discovery and solution oriented selling.
  • Partner cross functionally with Marketing and internal teams to support cross product integration and cross selling efforts.
  • Manage time, reporting, and follow up with consistency to drive referrals and repeat opportunities.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years selling complex SaaS or technology solutions into enterprise sized organizations..
  • Experience selling security, payments, or fintech related technology across regulated or data sensitive environments.
  • Proven success building pipeline through personal networks and outbound sales activity.
  • Experience managing and closing complex, multi stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong command of pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce.
  • Hands on experience with modern sales tools including LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, and virtual selling platforms.
