About the job Director of Business Development

Our client is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive new revenue growth through consultative SaaS sales of data security and payments solutions across mid market and enterprise organizations. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on building and executing a self generated pipeline, managing the full sales lifecycle, and closing complex deals. The role targets multiple verticals including healthcare, retail, government, and travel. Success requires a disciplined, outbound driven approach and the ability to engage senior stakeholders with solution oriented selling. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full sales lifecycle from self sourced prospecting through deal close, including negotiation of commercial terms and agreements.
  • Build and execute an individual business plan to drive revenue and meet assigned sales targets.
  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, industry relationships, trade shows, and events.
  • Leverage internal marketing support and personal network to develop client relationships and advance opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through consistent Salesforce updates and data integrity.
  • Deliver consultative sales engagements by understanding client needs and positioning appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and present sales materials on security topics, regulatory considerations, and product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support cross selling and integrated solution positioning.
  • Manage time, reporting, and client relationships to drive referrals and ongoing opportunities.

What You Bring

  • 8 to 10 plus years of SaaS sales experience, including selling security related products and services at a Director level or higher.
  • Proven track record of consultative selling across multiple industries and verticals.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through personal network and outbound activity.
  • Experience managing and progressing a sales pipeline using Salesforce.
  • Strong track record of meeting targets through execution of an individual sales or business plan.
  • Experience managing multiple opportunities in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or similar sales tools.
