Our client, a well-established organization in the payments and financial services space, is seeking an experienced sales leader to oversee solution sales for accounts payable and commercial payments. This leader will drive sales performance, guide technical solutioning, and build a strong pipeline targeting mid-market and enterprise clients. The role requires deep payments expertise and strong leadership skills to enable the team to deliver results.
What You Will Do
- Lead and coach a team of sales and solution consultants to hit revenue goals.
- Provide technical support in client engagements, proposals, and negotiations.
- Guide the team in uncovering client needs and delivering tailored AP automation and commercial card solutions.
- Review and manage the sales pipeline, removing obstacles and providing insights to close business.
- Oversee RFP responses to ensure strategic alignment and client satisfaction.
- Build team skills through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and enablement teams to equip the sales organization with tools and resources.
- Engage with external partners to support joint sales opportunities.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in AP automation and payment solutions, including commercial cards and platform integrations (API and file-based).
- 35 years of experience leading sales teams and managing pipelines to deliver results.
- Proven success in designing and executing go-to-market strategies targeting mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Strong client relationship skills and experience with long-cycle corporate sales.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, and Word, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, training, and industry events.
- Experience in pre-sales or implementation of payment solutions.
