Our client, a global payments technology company, provides modern acquiring and processing solutions through modular APIs and enterprise-grade tools. Their platform spans gateway, risk, tokenization (including network tokens), onboarding/KYB, settlement, and reporting. The team is expanding and hiring a Mid-Market eCommerce Account Executive to acquire and grow eCommerce merchants that need scalable, conversion-driven payment solutions with clear economics and fast implementation.
What You Will Do
- Own a named territory and manage the full sales cycle for new mid-market eCommerce merchants, including prospecting, discovery, solution design, pricing, and close.
- Present compelling business outcomes to merchants such as higher checkout conversion, stronger authorization rates, lower fraud and chargebacks, simplified reconciliation, and faster settlement.
- Engage multiple stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Risk/Compliance on both sides to ensure a smooth transition from close to implementation and ongoing success.
- Develop repeatable sales motions including talk tracks, ROI models, and proof packages to strengthen pipeline consistency and predictability.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecast precision, and stage discipline in CRM systems.
- Represent the company at targeted events and industry conferences to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Gather merchant feedback to inform product enhancements, particularly around checkout optimization, authorization performance, and fraud prevention.
What You Bring
- 5-8 years of sales experience in payments with a history of success selling to mid-market eCommerce merchants.
- Understanding of acquiring economics (IC++/MDR), card-not-present payments, fraud mitigation, and tokenization including network tokens.
- Technical fluency with APIs, webhooks, and checkout integrations, with the ability to discuss implementation details with product or engineering teams.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial terms including pricing, MSAs, SLAs, and procurement agreements.
- Strong outbound discipline and CRM management with a structured approach to territory planning.
- Clear communication skills and executive presence with the ability to build business cases and quantify value for merchant partners.
