Our client is a nonprofit membership organization focused on advancing women in fintech. They provide leadership development, mentoring, education, and community programs that support career growth and strengthen representation across the industry. The organization seeks a Director to own business development for sponsorship and partnership revenue. This role drives top line growth through structured outreach, disciplined planning, and targeted relationship building across the ecosystem. The leader will build a reliable pipeline of corporate sponsors, expands partner tiers, and strengthens the long term revenue model.

What You Will Do

  • Build and execute a strategic sponsorship plan that focuses on high value payment companies, including clear targets, revenue goals, timelines, and engagement steps.
  • Identify and sign pinnacle sponsors that deliver meaningful financial impact and long term value.
  • Establish a structured approach for outreach, relationship management, and deal progression.
  • Create diversified revenue streams across corporate sponsorships, partner programs, and new industry relationships.
  • Own the full commercial cycle from prospecting to negotiation to signed agreements.
  • Strengthen retention of existing sponsors through ongoing communication, value delivery, and account planning that aligns with each sponsors goals.
  • Track all activity and progress with consistency, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting for executive leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing, Events, and Product teams to deliver sponsor activations that drive results.
  • Represent the organization in the payments community to expand visibility and attract new sponsors.

What You Bring

  • Proven success selling into ISOs, PayFacs, processors, networks, or fintech partners.
  • Experience closing sponsorships, alliances, or revenue producing partnerships with clear year over year growth.
  • Strong hunter mindset with a strong network and history of bringing in significant deals that strengthen organizational revenue.
  • Ability to build structure where none exists, including playbooks, outreach plans, sponsor tiers, and revenue models.
  • Skilled in C-level relationship development with senior executives across the payments industry.
  • Clear communication, disciplined follow through, and strong commercial judgment.
  • Experience owning revenue targets and presenting pipeline performance to leadership.
