About the job General Manager

Our client, a cloud based provider of ERP and payment technology for local governments and utility districts, is hiring a General Manager to lead the operational support function for its electronic billing and payment platform. 

What You Do

  • Lead daily operations for the electronic billing and payment platform.
  • Guide a team focused on payment workflows, issue resolution, and partner support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, platform partners, and customers to advance projects.
  • Identify operational gaps, streamline processes, automate tasks, and strengthen execution.
  • Manage processor and gateway activities across card, ACH, bank bill pay, and lockbox transactions.
  • Work with processors, gateways, platform partners, and third party vendors to support account setup, onboarding, and activation.
  • Oversee onboarding for ISOs, agents, and merchants.
  • Troubleshoot issues across internal systems, external systems, and POS equipment.
  • Align all activities with federal and state regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act standards.
  • Maintain strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance expectations.

What You Bring

  • 10 years of payments industry experience with deep knowledge of processors, gateways, and regulatory needs.
  • 8 years in payment processing, boarding, deployment, customer service, implementation, POS devices, and gateway operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with sound decision making and high diligence.
  • Experience leading large initiatives with operational and technical components.
  • Strong prioritization with personal ownership of deliverables and issue resolution.
  • Self starter approach with professional maturity.
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Record of leading complex work across multiple groups.
  • Steady performance under competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate results and convert findings into clear actions.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
