Our client makes it easy for SaaS platforms, ISVs, and marketplaces to embed and manage payments across card, ACH, check, processors, banks, and other payment methods. They are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to build and scale channel partnerships with banks and PSPs that can resell their solution to platform customers. This senior individual contributor will identify, develop, negotiate, and manage partnerships that drive partner sourced growth, expand market reach, and create a repeatable reseller motion. The role is focused on commercial execution, partner enablement, and building strategic distribution relationships with financial Institutions and payments service providers (PSP's).

What You Will Do

  • Define and execute a partnership strategy focused on banks and PSPs reselling our client's embedded payments infrastructure.
  • Identify and prioritize banks and PSPs with strong customer bases across technology companies, SaaS platforms, ISVs, and related verticals.
  • Build senior level relationships with prospective and existing bank and PSP partners.
  • Develop partner business cases, value propositions, and go to market plans that support reseller adoption.
  • Lead the full partnership lifecycle from target identification and qualification through negotiation, launch.
  • Structure and negotiate commercial agreements with banks and PSPs, including reseller terms, revenue share, referral economics, and partner commitments.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to support partner onboarding, enablement, and scalable launch execution.
  • Work with partners to expand adoption of our client's payment workflows across card, ACH, check, processors, banks, and payment methods.
  • Establish governance cadences with key partners, including business reviews, pipeline reviews, roadmap discussions, and escalation management.
  • Monitor partner performance, identify opportunities to improve activation and revenue contribution, and refine the reseller model over time.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on bank and PSP reseller partnership models, partner economics, and market opportunities.

What You Bring

  • 3 or more years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, PSPs, embedded payments, SaaS, or financial technology partnerships
  • Direct experience building, negotiating, or managing reseller, channel, referral, or strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, or payments companies
  • Strong understanding of how banks and PSPs sell payment products or technology solutions to their customers
  • Experience structuring commercial partner agreements, including reseller terms, referral models, revenue share, and go to market commitments.
  • Knowledge of payment workflows across card, ACH, check, processors, banks, and payment method
  • Experience working cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to launch and manage partnerships
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including partner economics, pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and performance measurement.
