We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to handle the calculation, validation, and reporting of residual partner payments, referral fees, and revenue-sharing obligations. This role requires deep payments industry expertise, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to interpret complex partner agreements and transaction datasets. You will ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting and payment processes, strengthening partner relationships and supporting financial integrity.
What you will do:
- Analyze and calculate monthly residual payments, referral commissions, and partner fees using transaction data, fee structures, and partner agreements
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from payment processors and internal systems to validate financial calculations
- Build advanced Excel workbooks, including complex formulas, macros, and dynamic dashboards, to automate residual calculations and reporting processes
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to provide insights into residual payments, partner performance, and financial trends
- Generate and distribute detailed partner statements, resolving inquiries related to residual payments, referral fees, and program performance
- Interpret and apply partner agreements, including complex fee splits, bonuses, thresholds, and adjustments within reporting models
- Improve automation and scalability of residual processes to reduce manual work and maintain data accuracy and audit readiness
- Collaborate with Finance, Business Development, Legal, and Operations teams to align residual processes with financial and contractual frameworks
What you will bring:
- Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in the payments industry, preferably with a processor, ISO, ISV, or FinTech
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data validation tools
- Strong database querying and data analysis skills with transaction-level detail
- Deep understanding of payment processing structures, passthrough billing, absorbed billing, interchange-plus pricing, BIN sponsorship models, and residual payment streams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex contract terms into accurate, scalable financial models and reports
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and financial details clearly
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building or managing residuals management platforms or automated reporting systems
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with API-based data extraction and integration methods
- Background in acquirers, payment gateways, merchant reporting systems
- Experience supporting partner operations or revenue accounting in a scaling organization
