Our client is a fast-growing software company specializing in retail point-of-sale (POS) solutions. With a mission to streamline operations, enhance customer engagement, and drive merchant revenue, the company is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead product, operations, sales, and company-wide initiatives. This individual will be responsible for aligning teams, executing strategic goals, and positioning the business for long-term success.
This role requires a proven leader with deep experience in retail POS, software sales, and scaling technology businesses. The General Manager will lead go-to-market strategy, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration across departments.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and align product, operations, sales, and customer success teams around shared business goals.
- Define and execute a strategic roadmap to drive retail POS market growth and revenue.
- Develop sales strategies to acquire and retain retail customers across target verticals.
- Expand and strengthen relationships with partners, resellers, and channel organizations.
- Oversee product development priorities in collaboration with the technology team to deliver market-relevant solutions.
- Streamline operational processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure high availability and performance of the POS platform, working closely with engineering and IT.
- Own financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
- Build a high-performance culture through effective team leadership, goal setting, and cross-functional alignment.
- Use data to assess performance and make informed decisions across departments.
What You Bring:
- Executive leadership experience in a POS or SaaS environment, ideally in a high-growth or founder-led organization.
- Strong background in software sales, product strategy, and operational management.
- Familiarity with retail workflows and the ability to translate customer needs into scalable solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including product, operations, sales, and engineering.
- Track record of expanding market share and driving growth through execution-focused leadership.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based POS systems, retail tech stacks, and partner ecosystems.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership and day-to-day execution.
