The Commercial Sales Consultant leads the sales process for merchant services and other payment products, manages pipeline activity, and serves as the product expert across internal and external engagements. This role works cross-functionally with Relationship Managers, Product teams, and Vendor Partners to deliver tailored payment solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the full sales cycle for merchant services and other payment solutions

  • Achieve new account, revenue, and pipeline generation goals

  • Conduct sales calls with prospective and current clients to assess needs and present aligned solutions

  • Manage the sales pipeline for an assigned vertical and report on sales activity to leadership and vendor partners

  • Prepare and deliver responses to RFPs and clearly communicate product value

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on product capabilities, including gateway certifications and API documentation

  • Conduct needs assessments and product demonstrations, both remotely and on-site

  • Assist in configuring product solutions to align with client requirements

  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to relay client feedback, market insights, and assist in development of sales tools and training materials

  • Participate in complex or sensitive onboarding efforts to support client experience

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, technical consulting, or solutioning roles

  • 4+ years of experience in the merchant services or broader payments space, focusing on mid-market clients
  • Proven success meeting six-figure sales targets in the payments industry
  • Strong understanding of payment gateway solutions, certifications, and related technical specifications
  • Ability to understand vertical needs and map solutions to fit those needs, as well as in-depth product features and specifications and communicate the value of technical solutions e.g., payment gateways and certifications.
  • Experience navigating mid-market and enterprise sales cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key decision-makers
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes for payment product implementations
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Willingness to travel 20%30% for client meetings, training sessions, and industry events
