Our client is a financial institution serving small and mid sized businesses nationwide. This role owns the full strategy, product direction, and financial performance of the business credit card portfolio, including card and expense management solutions designed for companies under $20MM in annual revenue.

What You Will Do

  • Own the business credit card portfolio, setting product strategy, growth priorities, and financial targets tied to long term profitability.
  • Define and execute a multi year roadmap covering business credit cards and expense management capabilities.
  • Lead development of new products, features, pricing, and benefits aligned to the needs of small and mid sized business customers.
  • Partner with technology and design teams to improve digital experiences, onboarding, and cardholder engagement.
  • Drive customer acquisition strategy in partnership with internal sales teams and external distribution partners.
  • Lead cross functional partners across marketing, analytics, technology, and credit risk to execute acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Use customer and portfolio data to refine value propositions, pricing, and segmentation strategies.
  • Maintain accountability for regulatory compliance, internal policy adherence, and industry standards.
  • Oversee credit, fraud, and operational risk frameworks for the business card portfolio.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and adjust credit policies based on loss trends, utilization, and economic conditions.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of product managers while promoting strong cross functional collaboration.
  • Own P&L performance, including revenue growth, expense management, utilization, and charge offs.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio results, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage partnerships with payment networks, fintech partners, vendors, and credit bureaus, including commercial negotiations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of financial services experience with deep ownership of business credit card or SMB focused financial products.
  • Senior leadership experience managing card portfolios or lending products serving small and mid sized businesses.
  • Strong background in credit risk management, portfolio analytics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling business focused card or expense management products.
  • Experience partnering with sales, marketing, analytics, technology, and risk teams.
  • Strong financial acumen across revenue modeling, pricing, and portfolio profitability.
  • Track record building and leading high performing product teams.
  • Experience working with payment networks and third party vendors.
  • Direct experience with business credit cards, expense management tools, or mobile banking platforms.
  • Exposure to fintech partnerships or modern payments ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with data driven credit decisioning or advanced analytics in portfolio management.
