The Commercial Card Risk Manager owns oversight and execution of credit and operational risk programs supporting a commercial credit card portfolio. This role balances loss mitigation, regulatory expectations, and customer experience while partnering closely with product, operations, audit, and corporate risk.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and monitor the commercial credit card portfolio to reduce credit losses, fraud exposure, and internal misuse while maintaining a strong customer experience.
  • Identify emerging credit, fraud, operational, and third-party risks and design appropriate controls.
  • Assess control effectiveness, document results, and escalate issues requiring senior management attention.
  • Lead risk and control self-assessments aligned to enterprise and regulatory expectations.
  • Own risk assessments for new product launches, enhancements, and service changes.
  • Partner with product, operations, audit, and corporate risk teams to develop remediation plans with clear actions and timelines.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for risk communications between the business segment and enterprise risk teams.
  • Act as Business Segment Relationship Manager for vendor partnerships, ensuring adherence to Third Party Risk Management requirements.
  • Maintain and update credit policies, procedures, and process documentation on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with corporate, business unit, and regulatory policies.
  • Stay current on credit risk trends and exposures impacting the commercial card business.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or operational risk, with preference for payments or commercial credit card environments.
  • Experience with underwriting, credit risk, card fraud, or disputes.
  • Strong working knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to assess controls, analyze risk data, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with comfort presenting issues to senior leaders.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product, operations, audit, and vendor partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with shifting requirements.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools.
