We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Conversion Specialist Intern (focused on converting the free members to paid members)
- As a DFX Intern, you will play a vital role in growing DFXs paid membership community. You will work closely with our sales and partnerships teams to identify, engage, and qualify new leads founders, investors, accelerators, and entrepreneurial communities using digital outreach and community-building strategies.
- This internship is commission-only. There is no hourly pay. The highest-performing interns will be considered for part-time or full-time paid positions with DFX.
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on sales experience in a dynamic startup environment, learn modern lead generation techniques, and build valuable relationships across the venture and investment ecosystem.
- While this role is not customer service focused, you will support communication workflows and ensure clear handoffs from initial outreach to the senior sales team. Timely follow-ups and professional engagement with prospective members and partners will be essential to providing a positive first impression of DFX.
- This internship is ideal for someone eager to dive into the world of private capital investment. The Intern will play a vital role in the platform's success by converting free users into subscribers. They will connect with prospects, highlight the value of a paid membership, and guide them through the conversion journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and Educate Free Users: Reach out to free users to understand their needs and demonstrate how a paid DFX membership can help them achieve their goals in the private capital market.
- Showcase Membership Benefits: Articulate the advantages of a paid subscription, including full deal details, engagement opportunities, and eligibility for referral fees.
- Develop Strong Relationships: Establish rapport with potential members, comprehend their challenges, and offer personalized solutions to facilitate conversion.
- Navigate the Sales Cycle: Assist potential members throughout the sales cycle, guiding them from initial interest to successful subscription conversion.
- Handle Inquiries and Overcome Objections: Address customer questions and concerns, providing effective solutions and negotiating skillfully to close sales.
- Meet Conversion Targets: Collaborate with the sales team to achieve both individual and team-based conversion goals.
- Maintain CRM Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of prospect interactions and account details within the CRM system.
- Contribute to a Collaborative Environment: Work as part of a dynamic team, sharing insights and contributing to the overall growth of the company.
- Direct Impact: Play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and contributing to the overall success of DFX.
- Exposure to Technology: Gain proficiency in leading fintech startup tools and platforms.
- Note: This position involves daily interactions with founders, angel investors, VCs, PE family offices
What We are Looking For
- Passion for sales, startups, and business development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable networking online and building relationships virtually
- Self-motivated and organized with great attention to detail
- Interest in investor communities, venture funds, and accelerators
- Bonus: Experience with LinkedIn outreach, email marketing, or CRM tools
Requirements
- Availability for at least 10 to 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelors program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Prior internship or coursework in financial sales, marketing, or financial partnerships is a plus
