YOUR TASKS:

  • Together with you, we bring LiDAR sensor systems into series production. As 'Embedded Software Developer (f/m/d): High Performance Algorithms' you will work closely with our algorithm developers (d/m/w) and ensure that our software meets all performance requirements in a complex multi-core runtime environment with specialised hardware accelerators.
  • Development/evaluation of algorithms for processing laser scanner (LiDAR) data on embedded hardware
  • Optimisation of performance-critical algorithms on specialised hardware accelerators such as DSPs or GPUs
  • Design and improvement of software architectures with regard to resource requirements and utilisation on the target platforms
  • Supporting our algorithm developers in porting software modules to target platforms and ensuring compliance with performance requirements
  • Analysing new hardware technologies in relation to different requirement scenarios.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A successfully completed degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Practical programming experience with C/C++ in embedded and runtime-critical multi-core systems
  • Experience with analysis tools and debugging code on embedded hardware is an advantage
  • High motivation in the field of algorithm optimisation in embedded multi-core runtime environments and hardware accelerators (DSP, GPU)
  • Very good English 
  • Willingness to learn German
