DevOps Engineer
About the job DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, and CI/CD pipelines (on CircleCI), as well as strong scripting skills in Bash and Python. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with a passion for optimizing processes and driving efficiency through automation. A strong understanding of information security principles, particularly in the implementation of ISO27K controls, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for scalable, resilient deployments.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, automating provisioning, configuration, and resource lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI) that enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
- Monitor and improve system performance and reliability using Datadog, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline workflows and eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including integrating ISO27K controls across infrastructure and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for production systems to ensure high availability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, and CI/CD tools (CircleCI).
- Solid scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation and tooling.
- Knowledge of information security principles, with experience implementing ISO27K controls considered a strong asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
