We are currently seeking a Senior Platform Developer Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support the Product Management Transformation initiative within the DoIT@DCFS programan effort focused on optimizing how services and technical capabilities are delivered to Illinois child welfare agencies.
Position Overview:
The Senior Platform Developer will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of scalable solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform (CRM, ERP, Finance, Operations). This individual will collaborate across IT and business teams to build custom modules, workflows, and system integrations, ensuring a secure and high-performing digital ecosystem that meets evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Dynamics 365 solutions including custom plugins, workflows, scripts, and enterprise integrations.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Implement platform best practices in performance optimization, data security, and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Integrate Dynamics 365 with third-party and legacy systems using APIs, data migration tools, and Azure services.
- Provide ongoing platform support, including bug fixes, performance tuning, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and developers to build enterprise-grade applications.
- Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and improve team development standards.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, project tracking, and version control.
- Implement automated auditing, governance protocols, and security controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 57 years of hands-on experience developing in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform (CRM and ERP modules).
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, C#, .NET, Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Experience with Azure services and tools including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
- Proven ability to integrate Dynamics 365 with enterprise systems and APIs.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based architecture and deployment in Microsoft Azure.
- Strong grasp of DevOps practices and experience using Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in data migration, ETL processes, and system integration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Power BI for dashboards and advanced analytics.
- Background in public sector or social services (child welfare experience preferred).
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Developer Associate.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards (HIPAA, NIST, GDPR).
