Senior Python Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our team at Digiscale in Auckland, New Zealand. As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our complex software systems. This is a full-time, permanent position with the opportunity for growth and advancement within our company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Python

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner

- Continuously improve and optimize existing codebase

- Mentor and guide junior team members

- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Python development

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns

- Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask

- Proficiency in database design and SQL

- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms is a plus
